The ASHA Project has been facilitating the process of Local Adaptation Plans for Action (LAPA) preparation following it’s Enhanced LAPA Manual in line with Nepal’s National Framework on LAPA 2011. The project facilitated local communities and authorities to prepare 200 LAPAs in project areas. For the sake of better understanding, ownership and use by the local government and stakeholders, LAPAs are prepared in Nepali language. However, the project has often received requests for an English version of a sample LAPA so that practitioners and readers at international level can refer to it. Accordingly, ASHA has attempted for unofficial English translation of a LAPA prepared for Ward no 2 of Tribeni Rural Municipality in West Rukum district of Nepal.
